: Ward, how do you usually get a notice? Is it sent certified mail, regular mail, or hand delivered? I contacted Countrywide and they said they sent a notice (but didn't explain what type of notice) nor could they tell me what it said. Only that it was effective immediately, and I still have not receieved anything from any party.
: thanks Mark

Mark, here in CA the notice to vacate is served by the winning bidder. And incredibly, out here it's only a 3 day notice! I personally serve the notice but a lot of my competitors prefer to have a process server do the serving.
