: (This message is posted in other FC discussion boards, so sorry for the duplication - but would like an answer):

: Is there any way to find out the personal circumstances that lead to the foreclosure? i.e., How do I find out if there was a death or whether a death occured in the house (e.g., murder)? If the owner was a drug-dealer/criminal? Or any other adverse situations that took place. I think these factors would have a potential influence in the marketability of the house.

Mary, such personal circumstances are too ephemeral to remember for long, since no lasting official record of them exists in the public arena. Infamy is not something to concern yourself with.
