Here's an off-beat question...

Posted by Mary on February 20, 2002 at 8:54 PM

(This message is posted in other FC discussion boards, so sorry for the duplication - but would like an answer):

Is there any way to find out the personal circumstances that lead to the foreclosure? i.e., How do I find out if there was a death or whether a death occured in the house (e.g., murder)? If the owner was a drug-dealer/criminal? Or any other adverse situations that took place. I think these factors would have a potential influence in the marketability of the house.
