Re: Selling properties using a flat fee brokerIn Reply to: Selling Properties posted by JKR on February 06, 2002 at 6:22 AM Any pros in the foreclosure ring have ideas on maximizing the marketing exposure of a property after the foreclosure/renovation process without having to use a broker in order to save that 5-7%? I'd be willing to knock 3% or so off the purchase price to a buyer with no broker involvement but want to make sure I'm seen by a larger number of buyers except for the obvious sign in the yard buyers. =========== What most of the pros do is to put their properties in the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) via a flat fee broker for $200 to $250. Then when they get an acceptable offer they open escrow and hire a freelance transaction coordinator for $300 to handle all the transaction paperwork required from the sellers side of the deal. In Southern CA. a well known flat fee broker is Bill Fliflet at (619) 425-6300. Hope this helps. Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
