Won't affect the use of an emergency petition in Chapter 13...In Reply to: Any thoughts on the new BK reform bill? posted by Jk (the other Jk) on March 12, 2005 at 10:31 AM JK, We like to use an emergency petition in Chapter 13 to give us more time if we're very close to the foreclosure auction and the foreclosing isn't willing to grant our client any more time. From reading a synopsis of the proposed changes in the bankruptcy code, it won't affect our activity at all. Ward ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ : I tend to believe the new law may create more foreclosures. Debtors will not be able to use Chapter 7 as easily to wipeout credit card bills: Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
