In Reply to: House was on nts sale, but now in bkrup, how can I still buy? posted by Tim on December 19, 2001 at 9:17 AM

: There is a house in OC, CA that was scheduled to be auctioned but was postponed because the owner filed bkrupcy. Is there a way to still buy the house? I am brand new at this and has much to learn so any guidance received will be greatly appreciated.

Tim, until the house is sold at a trustee?s sale the current owner is the only party capable of selling it to you. Now that the owner is under the protection of the bankruptcy court any deal you would enter into with her would, under such circumstances, need the perfunctory OK of the Court.
