: We mistakenly stood silent at a recent sherifs sale in which the only bidder was the "bank". Now they are awaiting "confirmation of sale" (date is 3 weeks from now)in order for them to become "legal owners" of the property so they can in turn sell this property. My question is ...Is there anyway this property can be purchased from orig. owners, or anyone at THIS point in time?
: thanks for your help!

Sheela, I answered this question on the TREL board as follows:
.......

Sheela, what state are you in? We have no such "confirmation" in CA.

If there were no outside bidders at a CA trustee's sale, then the lender's opening bid would be accepted by the foreclosing trustee and the lender would be the actual owner.
