foreclosures in MI

Posted by Bravo on November 30, 2001 at 5:25 PM

I have been studying foreclosures in MI since about July '01 and have found it to be a little different than what has been discussed. For one thing properties over 3 acres have a 12 month redemtion period so it is difficult to buy them at auction and have your money tied up that long. There are a lot of 'different' things here...we almost feel like we are living in a foreign land. A lot of the properties here (rural)are over 3 A. but we do have our share of foreclosures. We are considering trying to find owners of a house that went up for auction last Wednesday. They vacated the property last June. There is a second on it. If we find them, get the deed, buy the Sheriff's deed...what happens to the second? Thanks for any help we can find no answers here, and believe me we are desperately looking. Shirley
