Re: buying the right of redemptionIn Reply to: buying right of redemption posted by todd-wa on June 03, 2001 at 1:55 PM : A real estate writer john T.Reed, suggested buying the right of redemption from the previous owner after the sale then redeem it yourself. Any experience or thoughts on this approach? =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= Todd, I know you know that WA doesn't allow anyone, except the IRS, the Right of Redemption (ROR). So, is this a rhetorical question or are you really interested in doing this in another state? I'm guessing you'd buy up the ROR in order to get title to the underlying property whereas I think in terms of flipping the ROR to someone else for a quick profit. Have you given any thought to how much you'd pay for the ROR? Would the ROR's length of time have any bearing?
