If the reinstatement agreement states that they must receive
payment on or before a specific date and time, and your
payment is a day or even an hour late, you might be in
default of the reinstatement agreement. And yes, if you
default, they can keep your money (usually stated in the
agreement) apply it to late charges or fees, and continue with
the foreclosure. If this happens, make certain that any payments
made pursuant to a failed reinstatement plan are accurately
identified and reflected in the foreclosure documents...
