Lien misspelled the owners name?Hi Ward, I am here in California and was looking at a foreclosure brought on by a HOA. Very, very small point, but I wondered if there was any potential problems that might pop up in a situation where the owners name was misspelled by the Trustee in the Notice of Deliquent Assessment (which was the lien created by the HOA before going on and recording the NOD and NTS). By the way the subsequent NOD and NTS both had the owners name correctly. In addition the parcel number, property description and address appear to be fine. The reason I bring this up at all is that I thought it odd that when looking at the grantor/grantee index at the county recorders, no lien was recorded under the owners name prior to the NOD and NTS by the HOA and only upon reading the NOD did I notice the liens document recording number and looked it up that way. It is a small misspelling, something along the lines of spelling "Robert" like "Robet". Just wondered if the owner might have some recourse to get the foreclosure overturned because of this? My gut feel is that it is too little, too late and this small point would have no effect on the outcome. Follow Ups:
