: Donovan, if your repossession of the premises is acrimonious I don’t think you’ll be given a key. No big deal though. You’d always have your locksmith change the locks anyway, just as a wise precaution.

: Since you buy insurance for a year in advance and pay for it in advance, then yes, you would cancel it to coincide with the close of escrow and ask the insurer for a short rate refund (if you held the property for less than a year).
