DOT recorded and made before deed?

Posted by todd-wa on September 11, 2001 at 12:52 AM

I echo your thoughts about todays terrible acts and this great
nation. Our prayers are with the victims, their families and ours
leaders.

I am confused by some title research. Here's what it is in order of recording:
1. 10/20/2000 DOT,$50,125, borrower is A.K. (doc signed
10/04/2000
2. 10/27/2000 Warranty deed, grantor is A.C., Grantee is A.K.
signed 10/18/2000 purchase amount $365,000

The DOT recorded 10/20/2000 is foreclosing this Friday. there are
two other DOTs on this property
3. 10/27/2000 for $328,000
4. 11/01/2000 for $73,000

How could this be? And there are more loans on this property than its value. If it is cross collateralized how can I tell?
