first time trustee sale... what to do now?

Posted by kmixon@lycos.com on August 26, 2001 at 7:11 PM

I won a bid in maryland on the courthouse steps. The people are still living in the house that I won. I want to take possession of the house as soon as possible. What should I do next? I really need detailed information. What should I say to the former owners and how should I say it? I don't want to be rude or mean to them, but the property now belongs to me. I hope I am never on the other side of this story, but they have to move on. If they are not cooperative, what are my options? What will they do to try to stay in the house? What can I do to get them out quickly? What can I do to make it a smooth transition? I have seen the posts on this board and there are alot of legal and hard-luck stories and I am sorry for what happens to some people, but like I said, they have to move on...
