: I am looking for any information on the Assemblies of God and it's church loan department foreclosures. As I am uncovering information I am finding that the AG Headquarters is very quick to loan money to struggling inner city churches but then forecloses on the property if they become dissatisfied with any part of the way the church is being operated. I would like to know how I can compile a list of churches throughout America that they have foreclosed on, sold parts off of the property, and profited on the sale. Any information would be helpful. I don't imagine that there's any kind of national service that collates such info. So you might have to inquire in the recorder's office in every county in the United States. There are more than 4,000 counties in the U.S. If you could do it by phoning that would still amount to 4,000 phone calls. Unfortunately even that short cut is not possible since the recorder's offices won't do your research for you. Perhaps you could do it easier if you had regional volunteers and each would be responsible for, let's say 5 states each. Maybe it would be smarter to focus on fewer states and fewer counties within each state. Perhaps you could delineate by population density (more people there'd be more churches). Anyway, you've really got a giant sized research project. Good luck. Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
