All buying is predicated on the right equity being available. In Reply to: Buying 2nd TDs, risky? posted by Karl on June 27, 2002 at 10:20 AM : If I understand correctly what I have read from past posts, it appears that if I were to buy a 2nd TD, then my only hope of cashing out would be if the property never went to foreclosure auction, is that correct? : If you do get a great deal on a 2nd, is your only hope that the owner sells the property prior to auction or refinances the loan? =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= Karl, No, your understanding is off somewhat. If you buy a 2nd trust deed at a good discount you’d profit if it was paid off before a foreclosure or at a foreclosure.
