: Ward;
: If a plaintiff wins a judgement and his lawyer does an asset search in Los Angeles County, will it turn up recorded real estate in other counties such as San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, Clark County in Nevada etc? And if it does, can the plaintiff force you to divest your real estate to pay the judgement, or does he have to wait until it is sold?

Jason,

If one does a separate asset search on the internet for each county cited in your post, you will probably be able to do it all from a computer from Los Angeles. That's because most counties now have their own website.

They vary in the amount of information you can get but you'll have to browse around for yourself.
