Are these types of things supposed to be recorded in the deed books as well? : Thanks for your help, Andrew, our recorder's office records all liens and ownership changes in the same omnibus record. We don't have separate sections to our recorded record for voluntary liens versus involuntary liens. Nor do we separate ownership or equity interests from lien interests. I think if you just asked a clerk at your local recorder's office if everything that's recorded shows up in the deed records or not you would have the right answer to your question. Good luck.
