What inevidably does happen to REO's?

This brings up a good question I've been wondering on. What
eventually does happen to REO's? If the bank can't sell them
at auction then what? I've heard HUD buy's them? If so at
what price?

: : Hello Fearless Leader-

: : Please let me know if after asking these questions you want me to go stand out on the patio.

: : We're now looking for properties that go back to the bank after trustee sales (REOs). If we don't attend the sale, would we be able to call the trustee afterwards and find out if the property did, in fact, go back to the lender? Or would we definitely have to attend the sale to guarantee that we find out that information.

: : We understand that trustee automated info systems will tell us whether or not the sale was cancelled or postponed beforehand. But we are uncertain as to whether or not they will tell us if the property went back to the bank.

: : Thanks very much.

: : Hope all's well.

: Rick,

: It’s that old saw, some do and some don’t.
