: I won a bid on a foreclosure, and paid 10% as a down payment. When I got home I had a message from the defendants attorney, who claimed the foreclosure was a mistake.According to the attorney, the mortgage company had modified the defendants loan, and the foreclosure sale should have never taken place.
: Lets say that the attorneys claims are in fact true. Can you legally overturn a foreclosure sale?

Jim,

Since it's a given tha we humans aren't perfect there's provisions in the foreclosure laws to void sales that shouldn't have been cried.

At least once a year I'm informed the same day or the next day that a mistake was made and the sale is going to be reversed and my money returned.
