Ask for title if you pay the delinquent taxes.

Elizabeth,

Talk with your landlord and tell him he's going to lose the house for non-payment of property taxes. Ask him to deed the property to you (since he's going to lose it anyway) and then you'd step in now and pay the delinquent taxes.
