: Ward I was skimming through NY State Laws on Real Property and foreclosure procedure (http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?cl=100&a=1) I didn't pick up on any statues against investors who purchase equity/property from distressed sellers in foreclosure/preforeclosure. Did I miss something or should I be looking at NY City laws?
: Thanks

Chalazion,

I would be surprised if NY had the kind of laws in this area that CA does. But I congratulate you on doing your due diligence and just checking it out anyway.

So no, I don’t think you missed anything nor do I think that NYC has any more laws in this area that the State of NY does.

Good luck.
