Foreclosure info.

I would greatly appreciate anyone who might be able to answer some general questions.

1.) I am several months behind on my mortgage(North Carolina-FHA). If I lose the house to foreclosure how long does it stay on my credit record?
2.) Once I vacate the house, am I liable to the lender for anything? Can they come after me if they can't sell the house for a good price?
3.) Does the lender have to give me thirty days in which to vacate?
4.) Finally, Do I have to attend a hearing of some sort, or can I just walk away?
