Avoid getting an eviction history in your credit report. In Reply to: auction occured on 3-1-02 how can I recover or delay eviction posted by R Christ on March 18, 2002 at 5:24 PM : the auction has occured on 3-1-02 and the home was not purchased and so reverted back to mortgage holder and then to HUD as it is an FHA loan. i've heard that filing a chapter 13 will at least delay the eviction scheduled for 3-21-02. is this true ? is there still an option to recover my home ? I live in Washington state. the princple balance was $71,100 and the assessed value is $101,000. please help if you have any information. added note: this home is my primary residence and also a rental property (tri-plex) =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= Yes, a bankruptcy will delay an eviction, but not by too much (2 to 4 weeks). The state of Washington is a non-judicial trustee’s sale jurisdiction. As such, there’s no redemption provision for ex-owners after the auction sale to regain their property. The trustee’s sale is final. If I were in your place I would move out before the 3-21-02 deadline just so a fresh eviction wouldn’t show up on my credit report. You really won’t want landlords shunning you as a prospective tenant because you have an eviction history. Follow Ups:
