Getting someone's social security number via their bankruptcy filings.In Reply to: Reinstatement figure posted by Jim on March 11, 2002 at 10:53 AM
: I hold a 2nd behind a 1st note (1st is 85 days into the foreclosure) that was just transferred from Long Beach Mtg. to Fairbanks Capital in PA. California Reconveyance (original trustee) nolonger handling the foreclosure. I called Fairbanks for a reinstatement figure. They will not talk to me without the trustors social security number. What do I do next? Jim, you might try the bankruptcy court system to see if the trustor ever filed a bankruptcy. If he did, his social security number will be on his bankruptcy petition. You can check anyone out regarding bankruptcy. Just click on the link below and then click on the PACER link. It will take you to the online bankruptcy service for the federal bankruptcy courts. Follow the directions for joining PACER and elect to search ALL court jurisdictions. It cost nothing to select ALL courts. Good luck. Follow Ups: Post a Followup:
