Don't be too concerned with auction attendees. In Reply to: Sharing Information posted by Donovan Gekko on February 27, 2002 at 7:33 AM : When i go to the auction a I always see the more experienced guys sharing information with each other about the houses that are about to be called. I don't understand how or why they do that when they are all trying to buy the same houses?? There are always houses on the lists that i didnt have time to view but... : do you do this??? what should i watch out for?? : im in atlanta.... =•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•=•= Donovan, when I go to the foreclosure auctions I don’t pay too much attention to who is kibitzing with who. I figure it’s none of my business what others are talking about or what they might be sharing with one another. I just focus on the auctioneer’s list of postponed deals and those that are possibly going to sale. I make my notations about the postponements, cancellations and those deals left standing with opening bid amounts. I then participate in actively bidding on deals that make sense and stop bidding at the upper limit that we determined earlier in calm of our office. If I didn’t buy anything that day I leave for the office right away and the thousand and one things I have yet to do. If I was lucky enough to buy something then I’ll wait around until all the auctions are cried and I can get my purchase receipt from the auctioneer. I don’t think you need to concern yourself what other competitors might be doing down at the foreclosure sales—there are more than enough details for you to take care of to be that idle. Hope this helps.
