Re: Probably between 3 to 15 days after the sale.In Reply to: timeframe for eviction in utah? posted by Sheila and Lee Greenwalt on February 21, 2002 at 1:13 AM : I posted a follow up on someone elses question so I appogise if this is duplicated. Our house was forclosed on Jan 31 we have been moving out however I injured my back and so we havn't finished. we went back today to do just that when we found the doors locks had been changed. now we havn't recived any notice on the eviciton or forclosure up to this point. now my quesiton. can I still remove my personal property? ie clothes boxes, yard tools, cars, camper ect. or have I lost them? I thought they had to send me an eviction notice? am I wrong or are they? ============ Sheila, its hard to tell who is right and who is wrong because 21 days have elapsed since the sale. In CA for example, the new owner-by-foreclosure can give you a three day notice to vacate due to foreclosure after the sale. But thats three days after you have been put on actual notice via your receipt of a written demand to move out. At this point why dont you post a written notice on the front door or near the front door giving the new owner your phone number and asking that they call so you can come for the balance of your personal property? Sign, date and make a copy of your notice and write on your copy the date and time you posted it. Im pretty sure the new owner will be delighted to have you come and get your stuff. Good luck.
