: I am talking with a homeowner who is in foreclosure and he is willing to sell me the house for what he owes
: ( preforeclosure ), but he says he has tax liens on the house.
: What do I do?

===========

Whatever liens are against the property, or the owner, will stay against the property after the owner sells to you. So you have to research the title of the property to become aware of ALL liens and interests that the property is burdened with.
