Attaching liens

Posted by Alfred, Trainee on February 11, 2002 at 11:38 AM

Ward,
I've got a friend who invested money with a real estate investor friend of his and he never got his money back (not to mention any profits) because the deal went sour. (The investor/friend told him it was a sure deal and he couldn't lose and he'd get his money back no matter what.) The guy has kept saying he'd pay him back when he sold something else of his, but it's gone on for almost 4 years now. We've just discovered by checking at the County Recorder that he's sold some of his properties and not told my friend about it. Is there a way of attaching liens to his properties (like his home and his other investment properties and lots) or can you only do that if you have a TD? Thanks in advance.
