: This isn't about foreclosures (although I do that too) but I'm wanting to add some more rental homes to my RE investment strategy and I was wondering how you find your seniors for your "Dingbat Retirement Plan". I've had fairly young tenants in the past and they were mostly trouble so I'd like to have a nice quiet senior to rent to for a change. Any ideas? Great forum by the way!

Rusty, I put notices up at the local Section 8 housing office and nearby senior center. And I put ads in the local senior publications, such as Senior World. I also offer a finder’s fee to my current senior renters to find me a tenant just like them. If one of their referrals rents from me they get $50 bucks.

Hope this helps.
