: Ward, I went to a sheriffs sale today and was out bid on a house I wanted bad. Michigan has a six month redemption period, can I purchase this home from the home owner?

You won't be able to buy the house from the ex-owner directly at this time. But you could buy their redemption rights and redeem the property's title by paying Michigan's mandated reimbursements, fees and interest.

Good luck.
