Although the foreclosure process varies across the nation, HUD allows lenders 10 months maximum for resolution/completion of the foreclosure process.

Keep in mind however, that because there is no uniform standard in foreclosure processing this number should be used only as a rough estimate. The trustee hired to process the foreclsoure action will be able to give you a more concrete calculation as to how much time you might have.

Hopefully before then, however, you would have employed one of the many alternatives in existence geard towards assisting homeowners in avoiding foreclosure.
