: What is the time frame for foclosures in the state of Florida? I had a contract for deed, I have the warranty deed in my name but the mortgage holder declared bankruptcy and the mortgage is being forclosed on. I just researched and the complaint was filed in court on 12/26/01. I know I will need to move but am curious as to the time frame I have to find a new residence.

Rhonda, it appears that Fl. has a foreclosure timetable of approximately 5 months. So around the end of May the sale will be over and you should receive a formal notice to vacate. For additional info see the link below.
