: I once owned and rented a 55+ restriced home. It was a very difficult experience. Very limited rental pool to choose from so had almost no applicants. The then tenanats drove me nuts with their constant complaining and demands. Toilet doesnt flush right, ice maker would not stop making ice-found out after driving all the way there, it was a frozen piece of bread caught in lever, can see a small bit of light under the front door, the neighbors make too much noise etc. Just sweated the small stuff as the home was in great condition. I think they were lonely and used my visits and maintance people as a chance to have visitors. They were nothing but a huge hassle. They had nothing else to do but nit pick the house and find the smallest things to complain about. I cant figure out how Ward does it. If that wasnt enough, the HOA felt like the were running a small world. Constant meetings and changes to the HOA and constant upgrades which were not necessary and were paying the highest amounts. I will never own in a 55+ restricted community.

Fairly certain one does not need to be 55+ to be a pain in the ass.

We deal with college tenants which match that description exactly.
