: : Just purchased property at trustee sale. I want to give previous owner 3 day notice before hiring an attorney to evict if necessary. Do I give the original copy to previous owner, or keep original myself and just give them a copy of it.

: : Mike in san diego

: I would keep the original myself, but I don'think it is important who has it.

: What is important is that you use the proper 3-day notice. Contact an eviction attorney in advance and get a copy of his form. There probably will be no charge.

My understanding is that these (and other) forms
vary county by county within California.

Local courts update them often. And can be very picky
about what they will accept.

Take care to avoid delays!
