Hi Rick. While the Chronicle is definitely "highly biased" as you say, that's still no excuse for the bad RE reporting. They can tell their poor-first-time-foreclosure-buyer story and still get the facts straight. They might have to read a code or two....or maybe just a foreclosure blog. But I thought that article was way more about the inaccuracy of the news than anything else.

: They actually SAVED about $100 by not staying at the motel for a couple of nights near Ward's office.

: And, of course, they did not have the cost of meals @ $25/day X 3 days.

: So really, they are out somewhat less than the highly-biased newspaper suggests.

: Moral of the story: never play the other man's (or woman's) game unless you study how it's played and won.
