: yes. I've done it a few times. Never has been a problem.

The 24 hour notice law clearly only applies to a Tenant relationship, that would mean that you have the Tenant relationship not the prior owner. That would have to be established.
If you have done this as you have stated then you I believe are lucky. You have provided no proof of your position in the law.
