Re: Court certified willIn Reply to: Court certified will posted by DeeCA on July 24, 2010 at 11:52 AM : I have a woman giving me a house in so cal. Her parents have both passed away. She has a will from her mother naming her as exector of all her personal, financial and realestate matters. : The mortgage compamy will not regonize her as the heir unless we get a Court Certified will. This usually wouldn't be a problem but the house is in foreclosure and the mortgage company (wells Fargo) refuses to give her the amount due so we can bring the loan current and stop the sale. Its going to sale this next week so its the time limit that i have other wise it could be worked out some other way with more time : How do i get a court certified will I'm not sure there is a best answer, but this might work. Look for a mortgage payment coupon and the social security number of the deceased, you may then have enough info to log onto the Wells Fargo web site and get the info you need. Alternatively, use the same info and call the Wells Fargo toll free line which provides account information. Once you get the balance due, buy a cashiers check (without your name shown as the buyer) and go into a Wells Fargo branch and make the payment. There is one more detail you need to work out. You will need to intercept the next regular mortgage coupon and find a way to change the mailing address so you can get future coupons mailed to you. Dond
