Depends on how title was passed on...In Reply to: Buying a California posted by Frank on June 16, 2010 at 3:06 PM Frank, Not by a new owner via a trustee's sale. But if you're a new owner who acquired title directly from the previous owner, then yes, as their successor in interest, you're entitled to any past rent you can collect. ------------Ward ==================
: These tenants have been there and have been decent payers for last ten years. They stopped paying when the NOTS was posted on their door. They are now six weeks behind. : Can a three-day notice to pay or quit be served and legally enforced for all back rents (by the new owner)? : Thanks in advance.
