Well then, hooray for me...In Reply to: electric vehicles (evs) posted by hard money lender on June 14, 2010 at 11:46 PM I put down a deposit and signed up for the new Nissan Leaf coming out this Fall. But I really wasn't thinking of how much I was helping the economy nor our ecology. I'm just lazy about having to gas up my car every time I turn around. I'd just rather plug in at home once in a while. ---------Ward ===============
: plenty. the wealthy have really screwed things up this time. the banking system was gonna collapse. the car makers. the real estate market. etc. : i have been hearing the same story now for quite awhile - the banks have tons of reos that they havent gotten rid of yet. : well i am here to tell you that YET is never gonna arrive. : few people are aware of the ev market. even fewer have any idea just how big it is gonna be. it is gonna hit in the same way that people bought pcs and ipods. : transportation costs will plummet, bringing down the cost of goods. the whole economy will be stirred up in a very positive fashion. : i dont know a thing about foreclosures, but i do know about life. : the real wealth has plans that you and i have no idea about. there is all sorts of technology protected by patents, of which we are unaware. : i have followed the ev industry for 20 years. why just a couple years ago, the experts were all still saying how the battery system was too cumbersome. and they were experimenting with hydrogen. : look at gm and how they destroyed the popular ev1s, and sold the nimh battery patents to chevron. : now, all of a sudden, we have lithium ion batteries that can power an electric car for 100 miles a charge. and they are quicker than gas cars. we have had this technology for longer than any of us thinks. : the real wealth knows how to control its wealth - of that i am certain. : there is a real silver lining in this economic cloud we have had the past several years. we will now have evs. it will greatly reduce our pollution, some of the health problems attributed to pollution, and maintenance on our vehicles. : so, regarding this forum - dont hold your breath waiting for this big release of reos. it aint gonna happen. real estate values will go up big along with the economy, and that is when banks will be selling their reos.
