Ellis,

If you're the same Ellis I think you are (I know so many tall, blonde Swedes named Ellis),
I'll call two specialists I know that deal in FDIC bank buyouts, and let you know.

Rick P. (no, not that other tall, blonde Swede who some call the probate guy)
: Hope someone can help,

: I am trying to locate a the new owner/lender of a commercial loan on a building in
: Florida. The local bank that held the loan was taken over by the FDIC. I searched
: the county recorder to look for an assignment to the FDIC or to the acquiring bank,
: but after a few hours of searching I couldn't find the specific loan I was searching
: for.. What is peculiar is that there are recorded documents showing bulk
: assignments to the new bank on what appears to be one recorded doc.

: Since I am not too familiar to Broward County's recording standards, I was
: wondering if I missed something.

: I spoke to an officer of the acquiring bank & they told me that they didn't show that
: particular loan on their records.

: Does anyone know how, or know someone that does, how to find a specific loan
: that looks like it fell into an FDIC black hole?

: Thanks

: Ellis
