Re: one stop or best REO siteIn Reply to: one stop or best REO site posted by jim on May 02, 2010 at 6:28 PM Probably not gonna find the Holy Grail of treasure maps to REO's on this or any other discussion forums. Just like when you once entered the business, you'll find cues and clues to the sources that interest you through relationships and getting out and mixing with people. You can go the the big banks' websites and see their inventories but that won't guarantee you much. There are oodles of REO's in every county, but not every one presents either a short term profit or long term cash flow opportunity. You'll need one or more systems to find deals. If gaining accees to the MLS isn't your thing, then try going to investment club meetings where the sponsors are NOT touting out-of-State junk. Go to seminars by the people who are real, experienced, in-the-trenches and active investors. YOu both learn something and meet others who are currently doing what you wish to be doing. A system that I like is the one my friend Tony works and teaches. He's the 800 pound Gorilla in the Palmdale/Lancaster area of L.A. County and he does a great job or teaching people how to form long-term, profitable relationships with REO agents (not so much on Asset Mgrs). Every investor (or potential investor) I've ever met wants a one-click way to find deals. I'm all for that, and in fact, I'd rather not have the inconvenience of owning properties, where I could just think about the deal I want to do and the money get wired into my account. I'm working on the latter system...keep you posted
