Thought a builders policy solved all of these issues?

: It's no more stupid than when a propective tenant tells you that they're currently unemployed but plan to get a job, hopefully soon. That probably wouldn't fit your guidelines and that's probably not the target market that you want to reach as a landlord.

: Think in terms of who State Farm DOES want as prospective insured clients. Your vacant property just doesn't happen to match the underwritting guidelines.

: However, there are specialty lenders who will insure vacant property...but at a premium. Lloyd's in one of the bigger ones.

: Look thru the archives and you'll see that this is neither a new problem nor a new topic. I've list my agent on several occassions in the past.
