: I noticed many investors use LLC for rentals. Is it all right to incorporate in Nevada or other states to avoid the $800 minimum franchise tax for LLC and corporations. I wonder if CA is OK with rental incomes generated from CA properties under a NV company.
: Your advice is highly appreciated.

Question for the board.

If she is managing the rentals herself, would she really be getting any protection from an LLC? In any lawsuit for damages, wouldn't she be named personally in addition to the LLC?

Thanks for any comments.
