I Know several people who have abandoned their vacation homes and have not even recieved a NOD after a year. What areas are you noticing this in? I'm scratching my head on this one. I've run into a few properties : where the owners are upside down, the banks won't accept a Short : Sale or Deed in Lieu neither will they foreclose.
