: : You don't have more than 10 or 15 days to wait before you'll receive your Trustee's Deed and record it.

: : Then just proceed forward with your plan to review the tax assessor's records.

: : It seems obvious that at some point you will have to contend with the county's remedy for permitting the improvements made without the proper permits.

: :
: : : Our company purchased a house at CA trustee sale. The property is in a semi rural area. There is 2 houses on the property. 1 rented and 1 owner occupied. The original house was built in the 50's and upon review of the building permits, it was never finaled and shows as permit expired. The newer house does not have a permit of an kind and this was suspected prior to purchase based on past MLS info and online data, however the original house showed as permitted based on tax assessors reflection of square footage.

: : : At least 2 large loans had been made on the property in the last 7 years and the loans were made by large institutional lenders. We will review the tax assessors field notes to determine if B&S is missing some permits. In order to view field notes, you must be owner and we have not received TDUS as sale just occured.

: : : Any suggestions on how to proceed?

: Maybe you can have a look at one of the previous
: title reports.
: The other lenders somehow worked it out.
