Search for the trustor in the grantor/grantee index of your county recorder. We have no idea what county your property is in or where you are located so specific info about your county's best access is impossible. It's a pretty risky to depend on your title company to do your homework for you. If they miss a lien (or get busy and forget about you) you get to absorb the loss; title will never insure a trustee sale. Before you are so quick to be critical of the free advise you seek, understand that the people who read this forum and contribute the most useful info (again, for free) are often also the ones who have invested the most in terms of their training, real estate education and experience. If you bite those hands, you will be very lonely and no richer for it. Relax. Give it the light touch. Take a little kidding. No one wants to see you fail. This forum is free, thanks to our host, Ward. You may ultimately get the training you need, spend the time and money, and end up helping some other investor newcomer on this very topic as you sit in your easychair remembering back when you got teased a little when asking good questions, way back in 2010.
