I called the trustee before the sale and they answered "hello". So I guess the lesson here is arrive early when it's a small-volume trustee. Thanks. This thing is not unique to CA. Had one sale where a friend of mine waited all day (Law merely says between 11 AM and 4 PM) and nobody showed up. Called atty office and was told it had been held. Said "NO WAY Jose!. Lawyer was there in minutes and he bought it. Had another where I was standing in the air-conditioned lobby and an atty came up and asked if I wanted the house. I said NO and he said, "Hell, there is no one else here and I ain't going out in that HOT AUGUST sun and humidity...and left. Like Riok says, there are more and better deals just around the corner...look for them. Good Luck Follow Ups:
