Since it's your deed, AND you aren't getting title insurance on the acquisition at this time anyway, just 'fix' the deed now before recording.
White out tape or liquid work fine. I can't say for the tape product but the liquid form was invented by the Mother of 60's designer-TV-rock band member Michael Nesbitt (true!).
Now you have both an acceptable solution and a history lesson.
