: Why are you so attached to this particular deal? If you're considering buying a property for cash, there are many more fish in these waters and I hear that cash hasn't gone out of style yet (that's towards the end of the present administration's term of office).

: If you are buying for investment then realize that you are competing with people--or sometimes highly sophisticated syndicates-- who are full time shoppers and devote much time and resources to finding profitable deals.

: This is not at all intended to discourage you from hunting (or 'fishing') but rather to remind you that you will likely need to pursue many targets before you get one. Persistence the, will be your mantra.

: ...And did I mention anything about getting professional training?

Hi Rick,
I'm looking for investment purposes (and I know I need a lot more education to get there), however, if I come across something that would be a great home upgrade for my family, then that's a bonus. This house was sort of looking like it might be a good deal for us on the personal side of things. So that's why I was getting attached. I know I shouldn't have let myself! Thanks for your feedback.
Lily
